We were informed by the Diocese of Baton Rouge today the entire 911 system in Louisiana went down.  A fiber optic cable was severed.  

Attached is a list of emergency contact numbers by parish for constituents who may have an emergency. 

Local media outlets continue to provide updates.

Residents of individual civil parishes can call these numbers in place of 911 during this outage:

Pointe Coupee Parish: (225) 638-5445

Livingston Parish: Livingston is not affected - they have a new system.

Tangipahoa Parish: (985) 747-0911

West Baton Rouge Parish: (225) 490-8589

Ascension Parish: (225) 621-8300

Assumption Parish: (985) 369-2913

Iberville Parish: 911 calls are being rerouted to administrative lines

St. Helena Parish: (225) 222-4413, ext. 0

St. James Parish: (225) 562-2200

West Feliciana Parish: (225) 784-3146

East Feliciana Parish is not listed on the published list.
